Lahaina Harbor
|
|
Back to Prints |
The
Lahaina Harbor still maintains some of the charm and
charisma of Old Hawaii with its many sail boats and
surrounding historic buildings. During the early
whaling days, the old whaling ships would moor off
the harbor, while the ship’s crew would come on
shore for a change of scene, a bit of grog, and
experience a bit of the ‘lay back’ tropical life…One
can always see the many aspects of harbor life at
the Lahaina Harbor, whether it be the hustle and
bustle of the fishing boats coming and going,
surfers catching a wave during high surf, or just
the many ‘harbor characters’ that make this area
their hang out. A visit to the harbor is a ‘must’
when in Lahaina.
